Coaching Skills At Work

(1 day workshop)

The ‘do as I say’ style of management no longer cuts it. Research shows that organisations who don’t have a coaching culture experience lower engagement, less productivity and less innovation and creativity.

That’s why we’ve designed this coaching skills workshop specifically for the workplace.

Coaching is about helping people find their own solutions through skilful questioning and listening instead of giving them answers and opinions.

It’s a crucial skill for anyone in a line manager role, especially in flatter or more dynamic structures where people expect more of a say in their own jobs and careers. The workshop can be tailored to senior experienced managers or to junior managers who are earlier in their career.

In this 1 day workshop delegates will learn:

  • Why coaching is a critical management tool

  • When to tell and when to coach

  • How to set well formed coaching outcomes

  • The GROW coaching model

  • Key questioning and listening skills

  • How to build rapport and trust in coaching conversations

They will have the opportunity to practice being coached and coaching other people so they can go back to work and use their new skills right away.
