Hello, I’m Lara. I’m the Chief People Person.

We offer current, bright and real world business and work coaching and training for growing and exciting companies and ambitious, kind-hearted and rebellious professionals. We should definitely meet if :

  • You want to inspire others, excel in your chosen career and makes a positive lasting impact through your work so that you’re remembered for the right reasons

  • You have responsibility for people, learning and training within an organisation

  • You’re missing someone alongside you for moral support, guidance, practical advice and to keep you on track in your career, at any level

  • You ever feel overwhelmed, unfulfilled or worry that you’re not reaching your full potential

  • Investing in your Personal Growth and Mastery matters to you

Having led teams for over a decade, trained extensively, and coached and trained hundreds of people over the years, I’ve developed a good sense of what’s likely to make you succeed and reach your potential.   I understand how you can so easily become your own worst enemy when it comes to accomplishing the things you want. And I know how to grow a business by investing in the people in it, both in their skills and their mindset.

I set up The People Person because I'm passionate about people and after 15 years working in senior roles in Human Resources and Personal Development for successful companies it turns out that I know quite a lot about them.

In addition to me, depending on your needs, I also draw upon and draw in a strong personal network of carefully cultivated experts & colleagues who can help you grow yourself, your people and your business as part of The People Person.

Unlike many in the personal development industry I have trained extensively and worked bloody hard to earn my stripes. I didn't find a spiritual calling after an ayahuasca experience in the jungle or finding myself in Nepal (fun as they sound), I'm fully qualified, experienced and I walk my talk.

Some of my main qualifications and experiences include:

  • 15 years of people development, coaching & business experience operating to Board Level

  • Fully qualified Coach

  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner & Trainer (INLPTA)

  • Mental Health First Aider

  • 1st Class Degree in International Business with Languages

  • PgD in Strategic Human Resources Management

  • Trained Workplace and Group Mediator

  • Full member of INLPTA, the Association for Coaching, and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

  • Voluntary Work:

    • Volunteer Youth Mentor for Young Carers,

    • Safe Tent Volunteer for music industry mental health and wellbeing charity Music Support.

I tell you all of this so that in a world of many "dream-peddlers" you can be confident you're dealing with someone who knows their stuff, is both qualified and experienced, and who operates with ethics and integrity.

I also have a separate Life Coaching business - Essentially Authentic where I work 121 with clients on areas other than work and career.

If you would like to know more about my credentials and experience please take a look at my linkedin.

  • Like you I'm more than what I do for a living. I have a personality too and love to have fun - you'll learn this as we work together.

  • People say I'm warm, supportive, inspiring, creative and challenging. That's what they say to my face anyway, you'll need to ask them what they say behind my back!

  • I'm a real free spirit, adventuring and travelling is a big part of my life, I try to escape winter at least every other year going to somewhere hot and tropical.

  • I'm obsessed with music and charmed my way into becoming a live music photographer for years photographing some of the biggest bands at shows and festivals in the UK and internationally.

  • I'm a qualified yoga teacher and reiki healer and I do yoga and meditation every day. Spiritual growth, wellness and wellbeing are massively important to me. I enjoy keeping up to date with the newest developments in this area and it totally informs my coaching and training work.

  • I describe myself as an independent extrovert. I love people and being around them however my fiery Spanish/Irish roots mean I like to fly solo sometimes and absolutely hate being constricted or told what to do.

  • My life motto? It's on the bottom of every page!

Every new programme of packages or workshops with The People Person results in a donation being made to Lendwithcare.org an organisation supporting third world entrepreneurs who need a helping hand to start or expand their business and require access to capital to get them going.
